The star-studded crowd at Gucci’s Spring 2025 presentation during Milan Fashion Week included a notable presence: actress Jessica Chastain. Taking a front-row seat, Chastain was clearly captivated by the Italian heritage and design of the house. “I love to be in Italy, especially with Gucci,” she shared with Vogue after the show. “The house has such strong Italian heritage, and it always feels like a beautiful celebration, celebrating fashion in this country.”
Beyond the runway, Chastain also finds solace in Milan’s architectural beauty. “My favorite part about being in Milan is the Duomo; It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the world, and I always try to have a quick walk by there whenever I come to Milan,” she revealed.
As Sabato De Sarno’s new collection of refined knits, coats, and dresses graced the runway, Chastain, a longtime Gucci fan and client, was busy creating a mental wishlist. “I loved look 3 in the show, the black dress. I also loved the tailoring of the coats with the beautiful trains,” she said. “The black one I want to wear on the red carpet—it’s exquisite.”
Chastain’s love for Gucci’s signature lime green was evident in her past red carpet appearances, including her stunning lime green gown at last year’s Emmys. “I love the lime green he uses in his collections,” she remarked. “I remember from a year ago, in his very first collection for Gucci, it was a jacket with fringe. Gucci made me an Emmy dress based on the jacket, I loved it so much.”
Given her VIP status, Chastain naturally arrived in Milan with a captivating front-row ensemble. She and her stylist Elizabeth Stewart opted for a charming retro dress that hung off the shoulder, featuring a whimsical daisy print. “What I loved so much about the dress that I wore to the show was that it was such a reminder of Italian glamour,” she shared. “I felt like I was walking back in time but at the same time, it felt modern.” The summery print was particularly captivating for Chastain. “The pattern of the dress was beautiful because, while it was flowers, it didn’t feel overly romantic; the cut of the dress was quite sexy,” she described.
This latest fashion win (complete with perfectly tousled hair) marks the end of Chastain’s Milan Fashion Week journey. Now, she’s heading back to set. “My production company, Freckle Films, is currently producing a television show for Netflix called His and Hers with Tessa Thompson, Pablo Schreiber and Jon Bernthal,” she shared. “Also, I produced and starred in a series called The Savant for Apple TV+ and that will be releasing in 2025.”
With upcoming premieres on the horizon, we can expect another captivating Gucci moment on the red carpet from Chastain.
