JetBlue Appoints Tracy Lawlor as New Chief People Officer

JetBlue has appointed Tracy Lawlor as its new Chief People Officer, effective immediately. Lawlor, a veteran of the airline with nearly 23 years of experience, has been serving as the acting Chief People Officer since March 2024. In her new role, Lawlor will report directly to JetBlue’s CEO, Joanna Geraghty. She will oversee key areas including compensation and benefits, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, crew relations, culture development, labor relations, as well as recruiting and talent management.

Lawlor’s extensive tenure and leadership within JetBlue make her well-positioned to enhance engagement among JetBlue crewmembers and further develop the airline’s distinctive organizational culture. “Tracy is an experienced leader known for her ability to turn strategic visions into reality while fostering strong collaboration across the airline,” said Geraghty. “Her deep understanding of our business as well as her passion for our mission and values make her the ideal leader to help guide our people and culture as we execute our strategy and set up JetBlue for long-term success.”

Lawlor began her career at JetBlue in 2001, initially serving in various financial capacities, including Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. In 2017, she transitioned to Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, eventually assuming the role of Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. In this capacity, Lawlor spearheaded the airline’s strategic long-term planning efforts aimed at advancing its financial, operational, and cultural objectives. Recently, she held the position of Chief Strategy and Integration Officer at JetBlue.

“JetBlue’s unique culture has always been our greatest strength, and I am deeply committed to supporting and investing in our incredible crewmembers who make it all possible,” said Lawlor. “I look forward to continue building on this strong foundation and fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive and succeed.”
