JetBlue has announced an exciting expansion of its TrueBlue loyalty program, allowing members to earn and redeem points on select Cape Air flights. This development marks a significant milestone in the long-standing partnership between JetBlue and Cape Air, which began in 2007 with JetBlue’s first-ever codeshare agreement.
Cape Air, a prominent commuter airline in the United States, operates over 250 daily flights across 32 cities in the U.S. and the Caribbean. This expanded partnership creates seamless connections between major cities like New York, Boston, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, and numerous destinations throughout the Northeast and Caribbean.
Now, customers can effortlessly book eligible Cape Air flights, earn and redeem TrueBlue points, and enjoy a streamlined travel experience with one-stop check-in and baggage transfers.
This expansion aligns with JetBlue’s ambitious growth strategy in the New England region. The airline is committed to expanding its presence by adding 20% more seats in the region this winter, alongside increasing its Mint premium travel service on more routes. As the leading leisure carrier in New England, JetBlue is strategically expanding its network to connect passengers to more premium leisure destinations. Recent additions include daily service to Presque Isle, Maine, and upcoming routes between Manchester, New Hampshire, and several Florida cities.
JetBlue’s commitment to growth extends to Puerto Rico, where the airline will average over 40 daily departures across 18 destinations from San Juan, Aguadilla, and Ponce. Cape Air further enhances this connectivity by offering six additional destinations beyond San Juan, including Culebra, Vieques, and the British Virgin Islands. This increased connectivity is part of JetBlue’s strategic shift to focus on high-demand leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) routes.
