## Jigra Box Office Collection Day 4: Alia Bhatt’s Thriller Holds Steady, Chennai Leads Occupancy

The box office journey of Alia Bhatt’s latest thriller, Jigra, continues to unfold, with the film registering an estimated ₹ 1.50 crore on its fourth day, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.com. This brings the film’s total collection to a healthy ₹ 16.60 crore across India over three days since its release on October 11.

Directed by Karan Johar, Jigra opened strong, earning ₹ 4.55 crore on its opening day. The film witnessed a remarkable 43.96 per cent jump on its second day, collecting ₹ 6.55 crore. However, Day 3 saw a slight dip of 16.03 per cent, with collections dropping to ₹ 5.5 crore. Despite this decline, Jigra has marked Alia Bhatt’s lowest opener since her 2014 film Highway, establishing its place as a compelling yet different venture.

Jigra Occupancy: Chennai Takes the Lead

The film’s performance across theaters has been consistent, with an overall occupancy of 10.35 per cent on Day 4. The highest occupancy was recorded in the evening at 10.28 per cent, followed by 10.50 per cent in the afternoon and 6.64 per cent in the morning.

Chennai has emerged as the city with the highest occupancy for Jigra, with theaters filled up to 30.25 per cent. Night shows in Chennai led the pack with an impressive 35 per cent occupancy, followed closely by afternoon shows at 34 per cent. Bengaluru, on the other hand, saw the second-highest occupancy, with theaters filled up to 25 per cent at night and 13 per cent in the morning.

The Story of Jigra

Jigra tells the captivating story of a devoted sister embarking on a harrowing journey to rescue her brother. The film’s teaser featured a recreated version of the classic song ‘Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka,’ showcasing the vocal talents of Vedang Raina. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, produced the film. Joining Alia Bhatt on screen are Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa, who play key roles in this gripping tale.

With its strong opening weekend and consistent performance, Jigra is likely to continue attracting audiences in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether the film can sustain this momentum and emerge as a major box office success.
