Joanne Langlois to Spearhead United Way KFL&A Fundraising Campaign

United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington (KFL&A) has appointed Joanne Langlois as the new chair of its annual fundraising campaign. Langlois, a longtime volunteer with the organization, will lead efforts to build upon the success of last year’s campaign, which raised nearly $4 million.

In a press release on Tuesday, the organization highlighted Langlois’s extensive experience as a volunteer over the past 30 years. President John DiPaolo expressed his confidence in Langlois’s leadership, stating, “This community is fortunate to have such strong volunteer leadership every year. Joanne brings such a passion for the community and United Way to this year’s campaign.”

Last year’s campaign raised just over $3.9 million, and the goal for this year’s campaign will be announced at its launch in September. Langlois said she is thrilled to take on the role of campaign chair, stating, “I believe in the United Way. I believe in its approach to fundraising and its approach to supporting umbrella agencies. And I have great respect for anyone who’s ever been a campaign chair before.”

Langlois’s appointment is a testament to the organization’s commitment to community engagement and its belief in the power of volunteers. Her leadership and passion are expected to contribute significantly to the success of the upcoming fundraising campaign.
