Kalki 2898 AD Crosses ₹500 Crore Mark in India, ₹700 Crore Worldwide

The sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, starring Prabhas, has crossed significant milestones at the box office. As per Sacnilk data, the film earned an estimated ₹ 11.35 crore India net collection on its 12th day of release, June 8, representing a 74.41 per cent decrease from the previous day’s collection. Despite the decline, the movie has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing ₹ 500 crore net in India across languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and others. The total domestic collection stands at ₹ 510.05 crore as per Sacnilk. In terms of worldwide performance, producer Vyjayanthi Movies announced on X (formerly Twitter) that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has crossed the ₹ 700 crore mark globally. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film features a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. The post-apocalyptic film, inspired by Hindu scriptures, is set in the year 2898 AD. On June 8, the film’s best box office collection came from Hindi, at an estimated ₹ 6.5 crore. Telugu followed with ₹ 3.5 crore, followed by Tamil with ₹ 0.7 crore, Malayalam with ₹ 0.5 crore, and Kannada with ₹ 0.15 crore. On June 8, the film had an overall 14.92 per cent occupancy for 2D shows in Kannada. However, no data was available for 3D screenings. In Malayalam, the occupancy for 2D shows on July 7 was 11.44 per cent, with no data available for 3D screenings. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ continues to captivate audiences worldwide, showcasing its success with these remarkable box office milestones.
