A collision between the Kanchanjungha Express passenger train and a goods train occurred near New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal on Monday morning. The incident, which took place close to the Rangapani area, has resulted in an unknown number of casualties, with several people expected to be injured and many feared dead. A senior official from the North Frontier Railway (NFR) confirmed the accident to the Press Trust of India (PTI). The Sealdah-bound Kanchanjungha Express (Train No. 13174), originating from Agartala, collided with the goods train in the early morning hours. Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident.
