Actor turned politician Kangana Ranaut recently expressed her admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his leadership and particularly his support for women. Her comments followed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s recent post on X, where she shared a video with PM Modi, captioned ‘Melodi’, a playful term highlighting their strong friendship.
Ranaut, who is also a BJP member of Parliament, took to her Instagram story to share a screenshot of the video, expressing her delight at the camaraderie between the two leaders. She wrote, “One of the most endearing qualities of Modi ji is that he makes women feel that he is rooting for them and wants them to rise.” She added, “No wonder that PM Meloni thinks that PM Modi is team Meloni.”
The term ‘Melodi’ gained popularity after social media platforms were flooded with memes and jokes about the close relationship between PM Modi and PM Meloni. The trend has been met with varying opinions, with some finding it humorous while others deeming it “cringe”.

PM Modi reposted the Italian PM’s video on X, expressing appreciation for the ties between Rome and New Delhi. During his visit to Italy for the G7 summit, PM Modi interacted with other world leaders, including UK PM Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
