The collected oil will be repurposed as raw material for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Joint promotion of used cooking oil collection
: The partners will work together to raise awareness and encourage residents of Kobe City to participate in the collection program.*
Establishment of collection points
: Convenient collection points will be established throughout Kobe City, making it easy for residents to contribute their used cooking oil.*
Utilization of collected oil for SAF production
: The collected oil will be processed into SAF, which will be used for flights departing from Kobe Airport.This initiative highlights the shared responsibility of all stakeholders. Kansai Airports Kobe, as the operator of Kobe Airport, will be responsible for managing the collected oil and ensuring its efficient conversion into SAF. Kobe City will support the collection process and promote awareness among its citizens. JGC Holdings Corporation will provide its expertise in the production of SAF, while REVO International Inc. will facilitate the logistics and transportation of the collected oil. NPO Blue Earth Project will contribute its knowledge and experience in environmental conservation.
