Road Closures in Karachi for Iranian President’s Visit

Ahead of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s arrival in Karachi today, the city administration has implemented security measures by closing several major arteries. These closures will be in effect from 3pm to 5pm on April 23.

Affected Areas:

* Sharea Faisal (from Jinnah Terminal to PIDC)
* Sharea Quaideen (from Guru Mandir to Sharea Faisal)
* MA Jinnah Road (from Guru Mandir to Garden Chowk)
* Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road (from Lily Bridge to Shaheen Complex)

Alternative Routes:

Due to the road closures, citizens are requested to use the following alternative routes:

* To airport from Defence-Clifton: Qayyumabad Bridge, Korangi Industrial Area, Brooks Chowrangi, Murtaza Chowrangi, Dawood Chowrangi, Quaidabad, Malir Halt
* To airport from II Chundrigarh Road, Tower, Keamari: Muaripur Road, Lyari Expressway, Sohrab Goth, Super Highway, Malir Cantt No. 6 Check Post, Model Colony Cemetery
* To Central and West Districts/Saddar from airport: Model Colony Cemetery, Jinnah Avenue, Gate No. 6
* To Jinnah Hospital and NICVD: Qayyumabad Flyover, Korangi Industrial Area, Chaudhry Khaliq-Uz-zaman Road, Lily Bridge traffic light signal, Cantt Station
* To Naumaish: Business Recorder Road, Lasbela Chowk, Nishtar Road, Albela traffic light signal, Ramswamy
* To Jama Cloth: Eidgah Chowk, Garden Chowk, Aga Khan-III Road, Makki Masjid, zoo
