Karachi Rolls Out Red Carpet for Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s Visit

The bustling metropolis of Karachi is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, as the city transforms into a welcoming hub. Shahrah-e-Faisal, a prominent thoroughfare, is adorned with banners extending a warm greeting from Pakistan’s Prime Minister and President.

To ensure a seamless and secure visit, several key roads have been temporarily closed, with strategic deployment of law enforcement personnel. M.A. Jinnah Road, a vital artery, is blocked from Gurumandar, with containers strategically placed to restrict access to Saddar. Similar arrangements are in place on intersecting streets branching out from M.A. Jinnah Road. Additionally, the route connecting Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish has been sealed off, with containers positioned around Peoples Secretariat Chowrangi.

President Raisi, accompanied by a delegation, is expected to arrive in Karachi this afternoon, where he will be greeted by Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The Iranian President’s itinerary includes paying homage at the mausoleum of Pakistan’s revered founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Meetings with the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh are also scheduled. Furthermore, President Raisi is set to engage with business partners at the Chief Minister’s House, followed by a formal dinner.
