Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has made a significant move in the Mumbai real estate market, renting out a luxurious apartment in the coveted Juhu area for a staggering ₹ 4.5 lakh per month. This revelation comes from property registration documents accessed by proptech platform Square Yards, as reported by Hindustan Times.
Aaryan’s lease and license agreement was registered on August 28th, with a stamp duty of ₹ 42,500. The apartment, located in the Siddhi Vinayak Building of Mumbai’s Presidency co-operative society, spans a generous 1,912 square feet. This rental move comes just months after Aaryan purchased a residential property in the same locality, jointly with his mother, Mala Tiwari, for ₹ 17.5 crore. This purchase, registered on June 30th, 2023, included two car parking spaces and attracted a stamp duty of ₹ 1.05 crore and a registration fee of ₹ 30,000.
Square Yards highlights that the rental yield on Aaryan’s property stands at 3.1 percent. This refers to the percentage of a property’s overall value that is earned through rental income annually. Juhu’s scenic beachfront, vibrant atmosphere, and numerous luxury high-rises offering sea views have made it a prime destination for celebrities, attracting individuals like legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar who also acquired a property in the same locality this year.
Aaryan’s real estate portfolio extends beyond his recent rental property, including a 2,099-square feet office space in the renowned Signature Tower on Veera Desai Road of Andheri West, which he purchased for ₹ 10 crore in 2023. In addition, his mother, Mala Tiwari, rented a spacious 3,681 sq ft apartment from Shahid Kapoor in 2023, paying a monthly rent of ₹ 7.5 lakh and a security deposit of ₹ 45 lakh for a 36-month lease.
Kartik Aaryan was last seen in the blockbuster movie ‘Chandu Champion,’ which garnered a worldwide gross of ₹ 88.14 crore, with ₹ 74.35 crore coming from India and ₹ 13.79 crore from overseas. His recent real estate ventures and continued success in the film industry solidify his position as one of Bollywood’s most sought-after actors.
