Kaspa’s and KFC Temporarily Closed at Stockport Retail Park Following Fire Incident

The popular Kaspa’s dessert parlour and the adjacent KFC store at Stockport Retail Park have both been forced to close temporarily due to an incident involving a fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be an internal fire from a fridge within the Kaspa’s unit, resulting in smoke damage to the restaurant.

KFC has been closed for safety reasons whilst the extent of any damage is assessed. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the incident, which occurred within the last week.

A sign on the Kaspa’s restaurant indicates that it will remain closed for a few weeks due to the incident. A spokesperson for Kaspa’s has stated that work is already underway to get the restaurant reopened as soon as possible.

A KFC spokesperson has emphasized the priority of safety and assured customers that the restaurant will reopen shortly. Both restaurants will remain temporarily closed until repairs are completed.

The Peel Centre, now known as Stockport Retail Park, is operated by Peel, who have stated that the incident appears to be an internal fire localized to the fridge area within the Kaspa’s unit.

Customers are advised to check the respective websites of Kaspa’s and KFC for updates on the reopening dates.
