Amidst her ongoing cancer battle, Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly facing a family disagreement over the education of their son, Prince George. According to InTouch Weekly, a palace insider revealed that Princess Kate is deeply upset after a heated argument with Prince William regarding the selection of a secondary school for their eldest child.
Prince William is said to be keen on sending Prince George to Eton College, the prestigious institution he and his brother Prince Harry attended. However, Princess Kate is firmly opposed to this decision, citing her own harrowing experiences with bullying during her time at a boarding school. The source revealed that Kate was “horribly bullied at her first boarding school” and “can’t bear the thought of George suffering that.”
Kate’s own boarding school journey began at Downe House, an elite girls’ boarding school in Berkshire. However, she left the school mid-term due to the bullying she endured. She later enrolled at Marlborough College, a co-educational boarding school.
The palace insider further stated that Kate believes “sending George to such a stuffy, upper-crust institution goes against all of their efforts to modernize the monarchy.”
Sources indicate that the disagreement over Prince George’s future education has sparked heated arguments between William and Kate, with both determined to have their way. However, reports suggest that Prince William ultimately won the argument, and Kate eventually conceded.
