Supermodel Kate Moss recently shared her makeup tips and tricks in a video for her brand COSMOSS. She admitted to learning makeup techniques from her daughter, Lila, who taught her how to contour. Moss revealed that she never paid attention to makeup artists during her modeling career, but she’s now embracing the knowledge she’s gained from her daughter.
In the video, which also featured makeup artist Alessandra Steinherr, Moss discussed her makeup skills. When asked if she considered herself good at it, she replied, “No, I didn’t learn anything. I never paid attention. I was too busy chatting, I never watched what they were doing.” She went on to say that Lila taught her how to use contour, saying, “She just said ‘mummy, dot, dot, dot, dot’ [all around her face]. I mean, how I didn’t know about that, after 30 years.”
Moss also revealed that she used to be quite restless in the makeup chair during her modeling days. “I just forgot I was even in the make-up chair. I was like a moving target, that’s what they called me. I was like that [moving around frantically] with a cigarette,” she said.
Despite her lack of formal makeup training, Moss is now embracing the art of it. She shares her beauty tips and tricks with her followers on social media, and she’s even launched her own cosmetics line, COSMOSS.
