Keelung City Unveils Its Charms at Promotional Event in South Korea
The Keelung City Government is hosting a promotional event in Yeonnam-dong, South Korea, from June 15 to 16. This event showcases Keelung’s breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and culinary delights. Korean visitors are invited to discover Asia’s premier cruise ship home port, nestled among mountains and seas.
Keelung City is renowned for its picturesque scenery, including the Waimushan Seaside Scenic Area, recognized as one of Taiwan’s ‘Top 10 Attractive Waters,’ and Heping Island Park, famous for offering one of the world’s 21 most beautiful sunrise views. For culinary enthusiasts, the Miaokou Night Market offers a comprehensive taste of Taiwan’s quintessential dishes.
At the promotional event, attendees will receive brochures in Korean and partake in a virtual reality experience showcasing Keelung’s breathtaking landscapes. Highlights include the vibrant Zhengbin Fishing Port Color House and the historic Xiner Air-raid Shelter. The newly unveiled Keelung Tower will offer panoramic views from a 19-floor skywalk, and visitors can witness the majestic 22.5-meter Guanyin Buddha at Zhongzheng Park.
An on-site scanning activity will provide participants with charming souvenirs that capture the essence of Keelung. Visitors are warmly welcomed to join and immerse themselves in the unique charm of this expansive Taiwanese city.
