Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has made a serious allegation against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the party intends to amend the Constitution and eliminate reservation policies if it is elected to power after the Lok Sabha polls. Kejriwal made this statement during a joint press conference with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday.
Kejriwal asserted, “The people of the BJP have always been opposed to reservation. They will change the Constitution and end reservation after coming to power.”
Additionally, Kejriwal reiterated his claim that Yogi Adityanath would be removed as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh if the BJP regained power. Meanwhile, Yadav stated that the BJP had already faced defeats in the initial four phases of the Lok Sabha elections.
The Lok Sabha elections, also known as the General Elections, are held in India to elect members to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19, with the results expected to be announced on May 23. The outcome of these elections will determine which party or coalition will form the next government of India.
