Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Released on Bail

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on Friday evening after spending over 50 days in detention. He was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court till June 1 to enable him to participate in the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaign. Kejriwal’s release was celebrated by workers and leaders of his Aam Aadmi Party, who gathered outside the prison complex to welcome him. The CM left Tihar in his convoy, accompanied by his wife, daughter, and an AAP Rajya Sabha MP. However, Kejriwal will have to surrender and return to prison on June 2.

Tata Motors Reports Strong Q4 Profit

Tata Motors reported a robust performance in the fourth quarter of FY24, with its consolidated net profit increasing by over three-fold to Rs. 17,528.59 crore. This surge was attributed to an increase in total consolidated revenue from operations, which rose to Rs. 1,19,986.31 crore from Rs. 1,05,932.35 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

India Withdraws Military Officials from Maldives

India withdrew its remaining military personnel from the Maldives on Friday, a day ahead of the deadline set by President Mohamed Muizzu. This move comes amidst strained relations between the two countries after the pro-China Maldivian leader sought to reduce dependence on New Delhi. The Indian military personnel who were stationed in the Maldives had been operating and maintaining helicopters and aircraft gifted by India.
