A year after her husband’s passing, Kellie Pickler has made a triumphant return to the stage, performing at a tributary concert in honor of the legendary Patsy Cline. The concert, held at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Monday, April 22nd, featured an all-star lineup of artists paying tribute to Cline’s musical legacy.
Pickler, who admitted to feeling incredibly nervous before taking the stage, spoke about her admiration for Cline, citing her as a major inspiration in her own musical journey. Several other performers joined Pickler in honoring Cline, including Sara Evans, Ashley McBryde, Wynonna Judd, Kristin Chenoweth, and Crystal Gayle.
In a poignant moment, Pickler dedicated a song to her late husband, Kyle Jacobs, who died by suicide in February 2023 at the age of 49. She recalled writing the song with Jacobs over a decade ago, and expressed her belief that he was present in spirit during the performance.
