She joins Kempinski, a globally renowned luxury hospitality brand with 82 hotels in 36 countries, at a pivotal juncture. Kempinski, with a proud 127-year tradition, is embarking on a significant expansion into new regions worldwide, adding 34 more hotels and residences to its portfolio in the coming years. Muckermann’s proven ability to elevate the guest experience while maximizing profitability made her the ideal choice to lead Kempinski Hotels. Her dynamic and forward-thinking approach will be vital as the brand continues to usher in a new era of luxury. As she takes the helm, Muckermann becomes the first woman in the company’s 127-year history to lead this iconic brand. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Muckermann has successfully enhanced sales and profitability while significantly improving the guest and customer experience for leading global luxury and travel brands such as Loro Piana, MSC Cruises, and NCL. A native of Germany, Muckermann has lived in Italy, France, and the USA, bringing a global perspective to her role. Fluent in five languages, she holds a Doctorate in Political Sciences and Economics, along with a joint MBA from Columbia and London Business School.
