Kerala Blasters FC has made a significant addition to their squad, signing defender Likmabam Rakesh on a three-year contract. The promising left-back, known for his versatility, will join the team until 2027.
Rakesh, a 21-year-old native of Manipur, embarked on his professional journey with NEROCA FC. He then joined the renowned Bengaluru FC Academy in 2018, showcasing his skills in their U16, U18, and Reserve teams across various age-group tournaments. In 2022, Rakesh returned to NEROCA FC, where he gained invaluable experience, making over 40 appearances for the club in the I-League, Durand Cup, and Super Cup Qualifiers.
While predominantly known for his left-back duties, Rakesh’s versatility extends to the center-back position, adding another dimension to his game.
