The South African spinner acknowledged the mentorship he has received from teammates Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, crediting them for his development as a bowler. Maharaj holds legendary spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne as role models, aspiring to achieve a fraction of their success.
In their previous game, the Royals secured a thrilling two-wicket victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, emerged victorious against the Punjab Kings.
Currently, the Rajasthan Royals lead the IPL standings with 12 points, while Mumbai Indians find themselves in sixth place with six points. Both teams aim to strengthen their positions in the tournament as the competition intensifies.
