Rajasthan Royals’ Keshav Maharaj heaped praise on his spin duo teammates, R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, for their guidance and support.
Maharaj was roped in by RR as a replacement for the injured Prasidh Krishna and has since become a dependable spin option for the team. He has expressed his gratitude for playing alongside the likes of Chahal and Ashwin, who have shared their knowledge and experience with him.
“To play with someone like Ash and Yuzi bhai, for me, it’s one of the greatest learnings of my career,” Maharaj said. “They’re people that have excelled in various formats of the game.”
Maharaj has been particularly impressed by Ashwin’s brain and his ability to pass on knowledge, while he has also tried to emulate Chahal’s success in white-ball cricket.
RR has been in sensational form in IPL 2024, sitting atop the points table. Maharaj, Chahal, Trent Boult, and Nandre Burger will be key players for the Royals as they gear up for their clash against Mumbai Indians on Monday.
