“During a terrible bout of writer’s block in 2021, I was invited to visit friends in Puako for New Year’s. A few days into my visit, in a burst of creative inspiration I began writing a new novel, which eventually became Lies and Weddings,” Kwan shares. “The people of Hawai’i and the island itself offered me a place of beauty, healing and inspiration for which I am very grateful. So many wondrous places on the island, including Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, became the settings where characters in my novel have experiences that change the course of their lives.”
The event will kick off at 5:00 pm with registration, followed by the book signing at 5:30 pm in the Ballroom Foyer of the resort. The evening will include a live interview with Kevin Kwan, providing attendees with a deeper insight into his writing process and the inspiration behind his latest work. Following the interview, attendees will have the chance to get their copies of “Lies and Weddings” personally dedicated and signed by the author.
