Keysight Technologies, Inc. (KEYS) has been chosen by UL Solutions as the official certification test partner for Thunderbolt 5 products. This new partnership reinforces UL Solutions’ status as an Intel-authorized lab for Thunderbolt 5 technologies. The certification process for Thunderbolt 5 products mandates compliance with the technology’s strict standards, and Keysight, in collaboration with UL Solutions, is committed to ensuring that all products meet these requirements.
To guarantee Thunderbolt 5 certification, UL Solutions leverages a suite of Keysight test and measurement products, including the Infiniium UXR B Series Oscilloscopes, the M8000 Series High-Performance BERT, and ENA Vector Network Analyzers. These tools play a crucial role in verifying the performance and reliability of Thunderbolt 5 products.
Thunderbolt 5 represents a significant leap forward in wired connectivity, offering data transfer speeds up to 120 Gbps—nearly three times faster than its predecessor, Thunderbolt 4. This remarkable speed boost enables the adoption of innovative display technologies and improves power delivery, facilitating quicker transfers of large files such as ultra-high-definition videos and intricate 3D models. The result is a more efficient workflow, enhanced productivity, and an enriched user experience.
Keysight’s testing solutions are witnessing increased demand, driven by the rapid adoption of electronic devices across various industries, including the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless technologies, data centers, and 5G. This growing demand is fueling the need for electronic testing equipment, positioning Keysight for continued growth.
Keysight’s award-winning Radar Scene Emulator stands out as the only solution in the market capable of simulating realistic roadway scenarios within a lab environment. This innovative solution has been selected by a leading U.S. auto manufacturer for testing and validating autonomous drive systems, demonstrating its cutting-edge capabilities.
Earlier this month, Keysight announced a milestone achievement—the successful testing and certification of Autotalks’ vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication solution under the Common Criteria certification program in its device security research lab, Riscure Security Solutions. This accomplishment signifies the highest security standards, making it the first time a V2X chipset with an embedded Hardware Security Module has received such certification.
The rising demand for electronics testing equipment is poised to bolster Keysight’s revenues and stock performance as the company capitalizes on the expanding adoption of essential electronic devices.
