Kid Cudi Breaks Foot at Coachella: ‘No Pain Coulda Stopped Me’

Kid Cudi’s Coachella performance was memorable for more than just his music. The rapper took a leap offstage and unfortunately broke his foot, ending his set early. However, despite the setback, Cudi remained in high spirits.

Within hours of the incident, Cudi took to X, formerly Twitter, to reassure fans about his condition. “Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,” he wrote. “Just leaving the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man.”

Cudi continued, “I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.” Concertgoers captured the moment of Cudi’s leap and his subsequent grimace on video, which was widely shared on social media.

Later, Cudi posted an Instagram image of himself giving a thumbs-up from inside an ambulance. “This was me right after the fall in the ambulance,” he wrote. “All smiles like a G. No pain coulda stopped me from feelin the joy I felt from the show. To everyone who came out yesterday and has been checkin in on me and sendin love, I FUCKIN LOVE U!!!”

Cudi had performed for 45 minutes before the incident occurred. He reportedly made a surprise appearance at Coachella this year, debuting new tracks from his latest album, “Insano.”

In a video posted on X, Cudi reflected on the experience. “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off-stage like he’s 26, like he used to do back in the day,” he said. “I learned a valuable lesson: No more prancing around, jumping off stages.”

Currently, Cudi is seeking recommendations from fans on what to watch during his recovery period.
