Kid Cudi Cancels Tour Due to Broken Ankle

Kid Cudi has announced the unfortunate cancellation of his upcoming Insano: Engage the Rage World Tour, including a July 31 stop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The decision comes after the rapper discovered that his broken ankle is more severe than initially thought. Dubbed the “calcaneus,” the heel bone has sustained significant damage, requiring surgery and an extended recovery period. The high-energy nature of Cudi’s performances, combined with the weight of his body, contributed to this particular type of fracture.

The Insano tour was slated to commence on June 28 in Austin, Texas, and conclude in Los Angeles on August 30. Additionally, Cudi had planned a European leg for early 2025, although its status remains uncertain. In a statement, Cudi expressed his regret and apologized to his fans. He emphasized that ticket holders will receive full refunds and that new tour dates will be announced as soon as feasible.

In a previous video, Cudi acknowledged the risks associated with his energetic stage presence, particularly as a 40-year-old. He had hoped to recover in time for the tour, but the severity of the injury has made that impossible. Cudi expressed his disappointment and vowed to return to performing once he has fully healed. He thanked his fans for their unwavering support and understanding.
