The primary accused in the Kolkata doctor rape case, Sanjay Roy, displayed emotional distress in court when questioned about his agreement to undergo a polygraph test. As reported by the Times of India, Roy became emotional when a district court magistrate inquired about his consent to the lie-detector test.
In response to the magistrate’s question, Roy vehemently asserted his innocence, claiming that the charges against him are fabricated. “I haven’t committed any crime. I’m being framed. Maybe this test will prove that,” Roy stated during the hearing, as quoted by the TOI.
The district court ultimately approved the polygraph test for Sanjay Roy. It’s important to note that such tests can only be conducted after obtaining permission from the court and the consent of the individual involved.
