Korean Air is gearing up for a busy winter season by expanding its flight network to cater to rising travel demand. The airline has announced plans to increase flight frequencies to popular destinations across Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe, effectively restoring its international network capacity to pre-pandemic levels.
In Southeast Asia, Korean Air is focusing on Bali, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc. Starting October 20, the Seoul Incheon-Bali route will see a significant boost, offering twice-daily flights compared to the current 11 weekly services. These flights will be operated using the modern Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, ensuring a comfortable and premium travel experience. This enhanced schedule will be in effect throughout the winter season, ending on March 27, 2025.
The Seoul Incheon-Nha Trang route will also witness an upgrade, transitioning to twice-daily flights from October 27. Following this, the Seoul Incheon-Phu Quoc route will see a similar increase, offering twice-daily flights starting December 15.
Beyond Southeast Asia, Korean Air is expanding its services to North America and Europe. The Seoul Incheon-Las Vegas route will be upgraded to a daily service from the current five weekly flights, effective October 27. The Seoul Incheon-Vancouver route will also receive a boost, increasing to 11 flights per week, followed by a further upgrade to twice-daily service starting December 1.
In Europe, the Seoul Incheon-Madrid route will see an increase to four weekly flights, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting October 27. The airline is also expanding its network within Asia. The Seoul Incheon-Kagoshima and Seoul Incheon-Taichung routes will both be elevated to daily services throughout the winter season. Currently, the Kagoshima route operates three to five times a week, while the Taichung route runs four times weekly.
With these adjustments, Korean Air’s international network capacity for the winter season is projected to reach 100% of pre-pandemic levels. This demonstrates the airline’s commitment to adapting its schedules based on seasonal trends and market demands to provide optimal service to its passengers.
