Kristian Alfonso, known for her portrayal of Hope Brady on ‘Days of our Lives,’ recently returned to the set to participate in a tribute to her late co-star, Bill Hayes, who played her on-screen father, Doug Williams.
Alfonso expressed mixed emotions upon her return, stating, “My return is very bittersweet, because it is the end of an era with Bill gone.” She described Hayes as “very loving, very welcoming,” both on and off-screen.
Alfonso shared her regret that she and Hayes were unable to work together again before his passing, as they were scheduled to during her last appearance on the soap in 2023. However, she expressed excitement to reunite with her other co-stars, including Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), Stephen Nichols (Steve), Josh Taylor (Roman), Victoria Konefal (Ciara), and Brandon Beemer (Shawn).
While fans are eager to see a continuation of the storyline between Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope, Alfonso teased, “What I will say is don’t give up hope.”
Regardless of whether she returns again after this visit, Alfonso expressed her gratitude for the experience of being a part of ‘Days of our Lives.’ She reflected, “I feel incredibly grateful that I ever had the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible show and the legacy that it holds.”
