Krungsri Auto, a leading automotive finance provider in Thailand, has teamed up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to enhance the travel experience for car users. Through their innovative ‘Travel Buddy’ services on the GO app, Krungsri Auto aims to revitalize domestic tourism and stimulate economic growth in local communities.
The ‘Travel Buddy’ feature within the GO app offers a comprehensive suite of travel-related services, catering to every aspect of a journey. Users can access detailed information about popular tourist spots, explore 10 curated travel itineraries through picturesque cities across Thailand, and personalize their trip plans with a journey planner that integrates seamlessly with Google Maps via Apple CarPlay and Google CarPlay.
The app goes beyond mere travel planning, offering convenient hotel bookings through online travel agencies, special deals on dining, drinking, and travel, and even vehicle-specific services. These services include car maintenance assistance, locations of electric vehicle charging stations, and daily updates on fuel prices.
Since its launch in December, the GO Travel feature has garnered significant traction, attracting over 80,000 users and partnering with over 100 businesses in the travel and retail sectors. This collaborative effort has injected over 3 million baht into local economies, highlighting the positive impact of the initiative.
Krungsri Auto is ambitious in its plans for the future. By 2024, they aim to increase the average monthly users of the GO Travel feature to 200,000. They plan to achieve this by adding 30 new travel routes in captivating cities, introducing a Personalized Trip Advisor service that caters to individual preferences, and expanding partnerships with government entities, public enterprises, the automotive sector, lifestyle brands, car rental firms, dealerships, tourism companies, and insurance providers. These collaborations will foster economic growth and shared value across diverse industries, solidifying Krungsri Auto’s role as a key contributor to the revitalization of Thai tourism.
