KTET 2024: Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test Scheduled for June 22-23

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (KPB) is all set to administer the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) on Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, 2024. The KTET admit card for the exam has been released on June 10 and is available for download on the official website, ktet.kerala.gov.in. Candidates are required to carry their KTET 2024 admit card to the exam center, as entry will be denied to those who fail to produce it.

The KTET exam, conducted twice a year by the KPB, aims to evaluate the teaching abilities and skills of candidates aspiring to teach in Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and High schools across Kerala. The exam structure and content align with the guidelines set by the Kerala State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), along with the Department of General Education and the Government of Kerala.

The official notification details that separate tests will be conducted for different categories: Category 1 for Lower Primary classes (Classes 1 to 5), Category 2 for Upper Primary classes (Classes 6 to 8), Category 3 for High School classes (Classes 9 and 10), and Category 4 for Language Teachers (Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu) and Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft, Physical Education) up to Upper Primary classes.

The KTET exam will be conducted across four categories with specific exam timings:

Category I (Lower Primary – Classes 1 to 5):

June 22, 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Category II (Upper Primary – Classes 6 to 8):

June 22, 02:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

Category III (High School – Classes 9 and 10):

June 23, 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Category IV (High School – Classes 9 and 10 for Sanskrit teachers):

June 23, 02:00 AM to 04:30 PM.
