Kyndryl Tops LinkedIn’s List of Best Tech Employers in Brazil
Kyndryl, the IT infrastructure provider spun off from IBM, has been recognized as the best technology employer in Brazil by LinkedIn. The list, which was released recently, ranks companies based on eight categories that indicate career development opportunities, including professional advancement probability, skills acquisition, employee turnover, and employee demand.
Kyndryl’s success in the ranking is attributed to its focus on key skills such as computer hardware technical support, storage, cybersecurity, and networking. The company’s workforce is primarily based in the cities of Campinas, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro, and its employees are predominantly employed in information technology, engineering, and project management roles.
LinkedIn’s Ranking Criteria
LinkedIn’s ranking criteria extend beyond career development opportunities, also considering organizational culture, employee connection density, gender and academic background diversity, and the presence of local employees. The list highlights the resilience of the Brazilian technology sector after a period of turbulence and job losses in the innovation industry.
Other Companies on the List
In addition to Kyndryl, several other notable companies were included in the ranking. IBM placed second, followed by Google and Amazon in third and fourth place, respectively. French IT consulting firm Thales ranked fifth, and other companies featured on the list include Salesforce, Hitachi, Align Technology, Claro (América Móvil), and Embraer, the only Brazilian firm on the list.
Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
LinkedIn attributed the strong demand for technology professionals in Brazil to the increasing need for artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions. This has led major companies in the sector to invest strategically, particularly in areas that extend beyond the domestic market. The ranking reflects the presence of multinational giants in the Brazilian tech industry.
