Hollywood star Kyra Sedgwick recently shared a breathtaking photo of herself enjoying the great outdoors on Instagram, leaving fans to marvel at her timeless beauty and evident happiness. The photo, posted by her husband, Kevin Bacon, captured Sedgwick standing in front of a picturesque ocean backdrop, her skin illuminated by the golden rays of a setting sun. Sedgwick looked effortlessly stylish in a denim jumpsuit, her hands resting gracefully on her hips.
In the accompanying caption, Bacon expressed his appreciation for the beauty of planet Earth, writing: “Mother Earth really is a beautiful place. Let’s not take it for granted. Happy #EarthDay, everyone.” Sedgwick’s radiant appearance in the photo drew praise from fans, with many complimenting her youthful glow and stunning looks. One fan enthusiastically commented, “Kyra looks so beautiful,” while another added, “What stunning pictures.” A third admirer chimed in, “So gorgeous.”
Sedgwick and Bacon share a deep love for nature and have established several properties across the United States that allow them to immerse themselves in its beauty. Their primary residence is in Los Angeles, offering them proximity to the ocean. They also own a charming farmhouse in Connecticut and a property in the heart of New York City. The couple, who are now empty nesters, take pride in their grown-up children, Sosie and Travis, who have both carved out successful careers in the entertainment industry, following in their parents’ footsteps.
In a previous interview with HELLO!, Sedgwick spoke candidly about her children’s decision to enter the entertainment field. “It’s a little nepotism, but it’s always worth it,” she said. “They’re amazing at what they do, and they know my brain. So it’s nice.” Sedgwick has directed her husband three times, including in the film Space Oddity, which was a family affair as Travis composed the music and Kyra directed. “It’s always easy. He’s a great actor, not much to tell him, you know, little tweaks here and there,” she said of working with Kevin.
Sedgwick and Bacon’s love story began on the set of the 1980s TV show Lemon Sky and blossomed into a marriage in 1988. They often express gratitude for the serendipitous way they found each other at a young age. Reflecting on the longevity of their marriage, Sedgwick shared in an interview with The Post, “Honestly, we just got lucky, there’s no secret, we just got so lucky when we were so young.” Despite their support for their children’s career paths, Sedgwick and Bacon were initially hesitant about them entering the entertainment industry. Kevin had experienced a public breakdown during a career slump and did not want his children to face similar struggles. “You’re only as happy as your least happy child. We were only thinking about the struggle,” he told The Telegraph in 2013. Sedgwick echoed his sentiments, stating, “Honestly, I really just want them to be happy. It is difficult being in this business, knowing how hard it is even when you’re successful. The hurt, the rejection, the insecurity of thinking you’re never going to work again… I don’t want that for my kids.”
