Annu Dhankar, a woman who earned the moniker ‘Lady Don,’ has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh in connection with the murder of a man at a Burger King outlet in Delhi this past June. Dhankar, who was just 19 years old at the time of the crime, is believed to have been deeply involved in the conspiracy that led to the fatal shooting of Aman.
The Delhi Police’s Special Cell apprehended Dhankar near the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. She had been on the run since the June incident, travelling to various locations across the country to evade capture.
According to reports, Dhankar’s motivation for joining the murder plot stemmed from a desire to settle in the United States. She allegedly formed a connection with Aman through social media, luring him to the Burger King restaurant where he was tragically killed.
On June 18, two unidentified men entered the Burger King outlet in Delhi and shot Aman multiple times at point-blank range. Aman was seated with a woman at the time of the shooting, leaving the restaurant in a state of shock.
The investigation revealed that Dhankar, who was present at the restaurant that fateful day, was not merely a witness but an active participant in the conspiracy. It is believed that she played a significant role in leading Aman to the Burger King, where he met his demise.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), Amit Kaushik, stated that Dhankar is a resident of Rohtak, Haryana, and her involvement in the murder was undeniable.
The arrest of Dhankar brings some closure to the tragic incident at the Burger King outlet. However, the investigation into the murder continues, with authorities actively pursuing the two unknown assailants who carried out the fatal shooting. The case serves as a reminder of the dangers of social media interactions and the importance of caution when engaging with strangers online.
