The couple has kept their relationship relatively private, but their engagement was widely speculated after French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal posted a video on TikTok of him and Gaga at the Olympics. Gaga seemingly referred to Polansky as her fiancé, leading to excitement from her fans and curiosity about her partner’s identity.
Polansky, a graduate of Harvard University with degrees in applied mathematics and computer science, has a background in the tech world. He attended the prestigious school alongside Mark Zuckerberg, who famously dropped out to focus on Facebook. Polansky’s career path led him to The Parker Group, where he oversees the ventures of Sean Parker, a prominent figure in the tech industry.
Gaga and Polansky’s connection began with a chance encounter through their shared philanthropic work. Gaga’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, met Polansky in 2019 through their involvement in charitable organizations. Gaga’s mother reportedly told her, “I think I just met your husband,” but Gaga wasn’t ready for such a commitment at the time.
A few months later, Gaga and Polansky met at Sean Parker’s birthday party in Los Angeles. They talked for hours, and Polansky was immediately struck by Gaga’s warmth and openness. He was particularly interested in learning about her life outside of her public persona.
Gaga and Polansky made their relationship public at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami. The following year, they spent the COVID-19 lockdown together in Malibu, which Gaga describes as a pivotal time in their relationship. The enforced seclusion allowed them to deeply connect and fall in love.
