Langham Hospitality Group Unveils New Luxury Hotel in Bangkok’s Historic Customs House

Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) is expanding its global footprint with a new luxury hotel project in Bangkok, Thailand. The company has partnered with Rabbit Holdings, a subsidiary of BTS Group, to create The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok, a stunning new hotel that will be housed within the city’s historic Customs House building.

The hotel, scheduled to open in 2026, will be located in the picturesque Bang Rak District along the Chao Praya River. The project will involve a meticulous restoration of the old Customs House, a prominent heritage building, and will also incorporate a former post office. This unique blend of historical architecture and modern design will create a truly unique and captivating experience for guests.

The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok will boast 78 guestrooms housed within a contemporary structure that seamlessly blends with the restored heritage buildings. In addition to its luxurious accommodations, the hotel will offer a range of exceptional amenities, including culinary excellence from T’ang Court, the renowned three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant from The Langham, Hong Kong. Guests will also have access to The Langham’s signature Chuan Spa, providing world-class wellness offerings and adding another layer of sophistication to the hotel experience.

This project reflects LHG’s unwavering commitment to heritage conservation through luxury hospitality. The company has a proven track record of transforming historic properties into stunning hotels, as evidenced by previous successes such as The Langham, Boston (a former Federal Reserve Bank building), The Langham, Chicago (housed in the iconic Mies van der Rohe building), and The Langham, Pasadena, which has become a symbol of Hollywood history since its inception in 1907.

LHG’s expertise lies in delicately balancing heritage preservation with modern luxury, creating unique hotel experiences that pay homage to the past while providing the best in contemporary hospitality. The company’s upcoming Bangkok venture is just one example of their ongoing efforts to revitalize historic sites around the world. LHG has also broken ground on a major restoration project in Venice, Italy, focusing on reviving an old glass factory on Murano Island, further showcasing their dedication to transforming historical sites into luxurious destinations.
