The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department conducted a ‘DUI Blitz’ on Saturday, April 20, in conjunction with the Summerlin Area Command and the Northwest Area Command. The operation, aimed at combating impaired driving, resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals suspected of driving under the influence (DUI).
In addition to the DUI arrests, officers issued 71 citations for various traffic violations. Three ‘other arrests’ were also made, but the nature of those arrests was not disclosed by the LVMPD.
This ‘DUI Blitz’ highlights the department’s commitment to ensuring road safety and deterring impaired driving. The LVMPD utilizes various enforcement measures, including targeted operations and increased patrols, to reduce the number of DUI-related incidents on Las Vegas roadways.
