Late Night Reruns: Colbert and Others Take a Break This Week

Stephen Colbert’s late-night talk show will air reruns this week from Monday, April 22nd, through Friday, April 26th, on CBS. This is a departure from Colbert’s usual schedule, where new episodes air nightly at 11:35 pm ET/PT. While Colbert is taking a break, reruns of recent episodes will air in their usual time slot.

This break is not due to a sporting event or medical issue, as has been the case in the past. Instead, it seems that late-night shows are taking a collective break this week. In addition to Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, and The Late Night Show with Seth Meyers are also airing reruns.

Only CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden is airing new episodes this week, with guests that include Gillian Jacobs, Drew Carey, Weird Al Yankovic, and Lisa Ann Walter.

As for Colbert, four of the five reruns airing this week are from episodes that aired in April, while the other is from late March. Here is a look at the complete schedule for this week:

If you are interested in catching up with those or any other past episode of Colbert but don’t want to stay up until 11:35 pm to do so, you can stream episodes of the talk show on-demand via Paramount+ (subscription required).

At this point, it has not been confirmed when Colbert will return with new episodes, but CBS usually releases details about the next week’s slate of shows on Thursday or Friday, so we’ll keep an eye out for that later this week.
