Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Plotted to Kill Salman Khan with Same Gun Used in Sidhu Moose Wala Murder
The Navi Mumbai police have uncovered a sinister plot by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The plan was strikingly similar to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, as the gang intended to use the same Turkey-made Zigana pistol that was employed in that incident.
The nefarious scheme came to light during an investigation launched in April, prompted by intelligence about a conspiracy to target Khan at his farmhouse in Panvel. The police infiltrated the gang’s WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms to gather vital information.
Four accused individuals have been apprehended in connection with the plot: Dhananjay Tapesingh, Gaurav Bhatia, Vaspi Khan, and Rizwan Khan. Tapesingh was arrested from Panvel, Bhatia from Gujarat, Khan from Bangalore, and Chikna from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The gang had meticulously conducted a recce of Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel and had also infiltrated his social media groups to track his movements. They had even carried out a separate recce in Bandra, indicating the extent of their planning and preparation.
The police have lauded their efforts in neutralizing this threat and preventing a potential tragedy. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
