Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure with LEGO Horizon Adventures! Sony revealed the release date for this charming take on the Horizon series during their September 2024 State of Play presentation. The game will be available on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on November 14th, bringing the iconic world of Horizon to a whole new audience.
The announcement of a simultaneous PC launch was met with cheers, while the surprise addition of a Nintendo Switch version sent excitement soaring. This makes perfect sense given the game’s lighter tone, focusing on the whimsical encounters with robotic dinosaurs and the post-apocalyptic world.
A playful new trailer showcases some of the Digital Deluxe edition goodies. Those who pre-order this edition will receive a stylish blue roller coaster customization for their LEGO world, along with a variety of outfits for Aloy. These outfits include the Shadow Stalwart, “Alloy” Aloy, and Banuk Armor, and even feature iconic outfits from other PlayStation franchises: Ratchet, Rivet, and Sackboy! Pre-orders begin on October 3rd, and all pre-orders, regardless of edition, will unlock the in-game Shield-Weaver outfit.
This marks the first time the Horizon series has graced a Nintendo platform, opening the door to a younger audience. The game also breaks away from the series’ single-player tradition, featuring two-player couch and online co-op, a familiar feature in other LEGO titles.
LEGO Horizon Adventures isn’t the only Horizon experience arriving this year. On October 31st, Horizon Zero Dawn gets a stunning remaster courtesy of Nixxes for PS5 and PC. Existing owners of the original version can upgrade to the remastered edition for a reasonable $10. Two Horizon games within one week? Fans of the series are in for a treat!
