Lemon Tree Hotels is expanding its footprint in India’s religious tourism sector by adding a new hotel in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The company has signed a license agreement for the new property, which is expected to open in fiscal year 2026. This will be Lemon Tree Hotels’ eighth property in Ayodhya, showcasing the company’s commitment to the region.
The upcoming hotel will feature 72 stylishly furnished rooms and a comprehensive range of amenities designed to cater to a variety of travelers. Guests can enjoy a restaurant, a rooftop bar, two banquet halls, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
Vilas Pawar, CEO of Managed & Franchise Business at Lemon Tree Hotels, expressed his excitement about the new venture, stating that the hotel will complement the company’s existing portfolio of seven operational and seven upcoming hotels in Uttar Pradesh.

In its recent financial update, Lemon Tree Hotels reported a 15.55% decrease in consolidated net profit to Rs 19.81 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 compared to Rs 23.46 crore in the same period last year. Despite this decline in net profit, revenue from operations increased by 19.52% year-on-year, reaching Rs 268.02 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025.
