Lisa Hogan, girlfriend of Jeremy Clarkson and co-star of Clarkson’s Farm, has spoken out about the heart-wrenching animal deaths at Diddly Squat Farm during the filming of the show’s third series.
The latest instalment of the Prime Video sensation sees Jeremy and Lisa venture into pig breeding, leading to some emotionally charged scenes. Lisa found herself unexpectedly attached to the pigs, making their loss all the more difficult to bear.
“I didn’t think I’d be that enamoured by pigs but I did get really close to them,” she confessed. “Farming’s just sad. The animals become your friends and you’re isolated. It was heart-breaking.”
Jeremy revealed that he enlisted Lisa’s help in delivering piglets in the new series. “It turns out that pigs aren’t great mothers as a general rule, but the sandy and black breed that we got makes for a particularly poor mother,” he explained.
Meanwhile, on other parts of the Diddly Squat estate, Jeremy finds himself at odds with farm manager Kaleb in the third series as they dabble in construction.
