Little Leaguers Experience High School Baseball at Washington Union’s ‘EC’ Night

At Panther Stadium in Easton, California, Washington Union High School hosted its annual ‘EC’ Night, giving young little leaguers an unforgettable experience on a high school baseball field. With the crosstown rival Caruthers visiting, the event was a special opportunity for both teams to show their support for the youth ballplayers.

Coach Matt Fox, head coach of Washington Union, emphasized the importance of the event for the young players. As the feeder little league draws kids from both Easton and Caruthers, the game symbolized the future of baseball in the community. All little leaguers wearing their team jerseys were granted free admission and had the chance to take the field with the high school players during the national anthem.

Trey Morris, a junior first baseman for the Panthers and a Texas commit, expressed his enthusiasm for inspiring the younger generation of baseball players. He expressed his hope that the event would motivate them to continue playing and strive for their dreams.

Coach Fox acknowledged that having a player like Morris, bound for a prestigious program with six national titles, serves as a beacon of inspiration for the young players. He emphasized that regardless of their school, talented players will be recognized and have opportunities to advance in the sport.

The event concluded with Washington Union emerging victorious over Caruthers with a score of 7-2. Little leaguers left the stadium filled with excitement and inspiration, eager to continue their baseball journey and emulate the success of their high school role models.
