Amidst the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season, Liverpool is actively seeking his successor. According to reports, Feyenoord manager Arne Slot has emerged as a leading contender for the vacant position.
Serbian Football Scout has hinted at the possibility of Slot targeting Orkun Kokcu, a player he previously managed at Feyenoord. Slot and Kokcu reportedly share a close relationship, and Slot is believed to be familiar with the midfielder’s strengths and potential.
It is suggested that Liverpool’s recent midfield overhaul, which saw the arrival of Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister, may not deter Slot from bringing in his own preferred players.
If appointed, Slot could also consider signing Teun Koopmeiners, another player he managed at Feyenoord. Koopmeiners’ versatility allows him to play in a deeper midfield role, which could be beneficial for Liverpool.
While Slot’s appointment would likely bring about changes to Liverpool’s squad, the extent of his influence on transfer decisions remains to be seen. Backroom duo Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards are expected to have a significant say in recruitment this summer.
