Lloyd’s Chief Commercial Officer to Headline ClimateTech Connect 2025
ClimateTech Connect, the leading global conference dedicated to advancing innovation in climate resilience and sustainable technology solutions, has announced a prominent figure in the insurance industry as its opening day keynote speaker. Dawn Miller, Lloyd’s Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Lloyd’s Americas, will take the stage on April 15, 2025, at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC.
With over 25 years of experience in the global insurance industry, Miller has held several leadership roles overseeing underwriting, distribution, client relations, and strategic initiatives. Her expertise spans across various domains, solidifying her position as a key voice in navigating the complex landscape of climate change and its impact on the insurance sector.
Miller’s keynote address at ClimateTech Connect promises to be a defining moment in the conference’s trajectory. She will delve into the critical importance of prioritizing sustainability, innovation, and climate resilience – not just as an abstract concept but as a fundamental element of Lloyd’s commercial strategy. As the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, Lloyd’s takes a proactive stance in addressing the global challenges of climate change.
“We are honored to have Dawn open ClimateTech Connect to a distinguished audience of global leaders, innovators, policymakers and leading industry experts who will attend to explore the intersection of climate resilience strategies and technology,” stated ClimateTech Connect CEO Megan Kuczynski. “She will set the tone for the conference on what is arguably the foremost global challenge of our time, advancing the conversation among the leaders present to promote a world more resilient to climate impact leveraging technological innovation,” added Kuczynski.
Miller herself underscores the crucial role of the insurance industry in building resilience against emerging threats like climate change. “The insurance industry plays a critical role in strengthening resilience against emerging and systemic threats across the globe, such as climate change. Developing and implementing solutions to ensure climate resilience is central to Lloyd’s global strategy, as we help people, governments, and businesses prepare and protect, reimagine and rebuild to mitigate the impacts of climate change,” she explained.
“I am delighted to join stakeholders from across Lloyd’s global network at ClimateTech Connect and look forward to exploring how we can leverage every tool at our disposal to make meaningful progress in advancing climate resilience,” Miller added.
ClimateTech Connect is poised to be a pivotal platform for industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to come together and explore data-driven strategies and innovative technologies that address the growing challenges of climate change. Over the course of two days, conference delegates will participate in inspiring keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, a product expo, innovation stage, and experiential networking – all aimed at advancing climate resilience through technological innovation.
