Loewe and Jonathan Anderson Celebrate Partnership with Saks at Eclectic New York Fashion Week Dinner

Jonathan Anderson, the creative force behind Loewe, brought his signature eclectic energy to New York Fashion Week, hosting a dinner with Saks to celebrate their new partnership. The event, held at the Pace Gallery, was a testament to Anderson’s innovative approach to fashion and his ability to create a sense of community and family.

Anderson, fresh off a successful showing at the Venice Film Festival, landed in New York to showcase a unique preview of Loewe’s fall 2024 collection. Saks, a long-time partner of Loewe, took the collaboration a step further by transforming its New York flagship into a whimsical world of vegetables and greenery, showcasing the label’s viral vegetable accessories and beaded handbags. This immersive experience, featuring giant sculptures and paintings inspired by nature, will be available until September 23rd. Those seeking a more enduring memento can explore Anderson’s exclusive fall capsule collection designed specifically for Saks.

The evening was a celebration of the collaborative spirit between Loewe and Saks. “Saks is a very big partner for Loewe, and we do incredible business with them,” shared Anderson during the cocktail hour. “We wanted to do an entire takeover with the collection; we wanted a blown-up experience of what we’d already done, including these giant vegetables, and they were up for doing it,” he explained.

The vegetable theme extended beyond the store windows and into the dinner itself. Root vegetables adorned the centerpieces, while the gallery lobby was infused with the distinctive aroma of Loewe’s beetroot candle. Tracy Margolies, Chief Merchandising Officer at Saks, expressed her delight in the partnership, praising Anderson’s “innovative and boundary-pushing approach” and eagerly anticipating future collaborations.

Adding to the vibrant energy of the evening was the impressive guest list, which included a constellation of stars such as Meg Ryan, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Morgan Spector, Myha’la, and Tracee Ellis Ross. Anderson, known for his inclusive approach to fashion, expressed his commitment to building a community within the Loewe family: “It’s always a mix for us, and there’s a lot of people I’ve become very good friends with, but with Loewe, I always try to make sure that we build a family.”

The event served as a powerful reminder of Loewe’s commitment to creative expression, innovative design, and fostering a sense of community within the fashion industry. With the partnership with Saks, the brand continues to push boundaries and redefine the experience of fashion.
