Logitech has taken its popular G915 gaming keyboard to the next level with the release of the G915X. This new flagship keyboard boasts a remarkably slim profile, measuring just 23mm in height, making it the company’s thinnest low-profile gaming keyboard yet.
The G915X features a completely redesigned galvanic switch, a departure from the original G915 launched in 2019. This new switch design, utilizing a POM cross-style stem, enhances key stability and allows for easy replacement, providing gamers with more customization options. The result is a quieter typing experience that feels more responsive and precise.
Logitech has also addressed battery life, a crucial element for wireless gaming keyboards. The G915X LIGHTSPEED boasts an impressive 800 hours of battery life, representing a 20% improvement over its predecessor. However, with full RGB brightness enabled, the battery life drops to 36 hours.
Arnaud Perret-Gentil, Head of PC Gaming at Logitech G, stated, “When the G915 LIGHTSPEED keyboard was released in 2019, it was a revolutionary and award-winning gaming keyboard that introduced many players to the joys of low-profile gaming. Since then, we have listened carefully to our G915 customers on what enhancements they would like to see in the next generation, and today we’re excited to announce G915 X, with the features players love and the improvements most requested.”
With several low-profile gaming keyboards now available in 2024, the G915X stands out with its refined design, enhanced features, and robust battery life. The G915X is available in three options: the G915X LIGHTSPEED wireless full-sized keyboard ($229.99 USD), the G915X LIGHTSPEED TKL ($199.99 USD), and the G915X Wired Gaming Keyboard ($179.99 USD). The wireless models come in black or white and offer low-latency 2.4 GHz LIGHTSPEED wireless connectivity and Bluetooth compatibility, providing gamers with a seamless and reliable connection.
