Lok Sabha Election 2024: Kollam Constituency Details Unveiled

The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the Kollam constituency of Kerala. Voting will take place on April 26th (Phase 2), and the results will be declared on June 4th.

The Kollam Lok Sabha Constituency is witnessing a fierce battle, with several prominent candidates contesting. G Krishnakumar from Bharatiya Janata Party, M Mukesh from Communist Party of India (Marxist), and N K Premachandran from Revolutionary Socialist Party are among the frontrunners.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, RCP candidate N K Premachandran won the election with a victory margin of 1,48,856 votes. He secured 4,99,677 votes, defeating K.N.Balagopal of CPI(M), who received 3,50,821 votes.

The Kollam constituency witnessed a high voter turnout of 74.36% in the 2019 elections. The electorate in Kollam is eagerly awaiting the upcoming elections and is expected to participate in large numbers once again.
