On April 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address election rallies in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, marking the final day of campaigning for the second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

In Rajasthan, PM Modi will visit the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency and hold a public meeting. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria as its candidate in this constituency. A total of 13 seats in Rajasthan will go to polls on April 26 as part of the second phase, following 12 seats that voted in the first phase on April 19.

After addressing the rally in Rajasthan, PM Modi will travel to Chhattisgarh. He is scheduled to participate in public meetings in Baradwar village, located in the Janjgir-Champa Lok Sabha constituency, and Shyamtarai village in the Mahasamund Lok Sabha constituency. Voting in the Mahasamund seat will take place during the second phase on April 26, while the Janjgir-Champa Lok Sabha seat will vote in the third phase on May 7.

Meanwhile, other prominent leaders will also be actively involved in the campaign. Union Minister Amit Shah will lead a roadshow at Swami Vivekananda Circle in Bengaluru South constituency in Karnataka. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address public meetings in Chitradurga and Bengaluru’s HSR Layout, also within the Bengaluru South constituency.

BJP president JP Nadda will campaign in Tikamgarh, Rewa, and Satna in Madhya Pradesh. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will participate in a rally in Bisahda village near Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This village gained attention due to the 2015 mob lynching of Mohammed Akhlaq. The seat will go to polls in the second phase on April 26.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will campaign for INDIA bloc candidates in Aligarh and Baghpat. BSP chief Mayawati will address election rallies in Meerut and Aligarh.

The first phase of elections on April 19 witnessed an impressive turnout, with 60 percent of electors across 102 parliamentary seats casting their votes. The second phase of voting will be held on April 26, and the overall election will take place in seven phases across 543 Lok Sabha seats. The final phase is scheduled for June 1.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) aims to secure a third term under PM Modi’s leadership and has set a target of winning 400 seats. The ruling alliance faces challenges from opposition parties, including the Congress, which leads the INDIA bloc. The counting of votes for all seven phases of Lok Sabha Elections will take place on June 4.
